Introduction
On February 4, 2026, Advange's CEO delivered a keynote at the Dalian Software Industry Association's annual forum, 'Where Are the Trends Heading?' Drawing on the discussion of global expansion and AI adoption, this article considers how IT services can turn technological progress into practical improvements in day-to-day work.
From June 23 to 25, 2026, Advange's CEO attended the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian, China, commonly known as Summer Davos 2026. Under the theme 'Innovating at Scale,' leaders from more than 90 countries and regions discussed how technological innovation can contribute to economic growth and business development. Viewed through our work in IT services across Asia, the event highlighted a practical question: after new technology is introduced, can employees at overseas locations continue using it effectively in their daily work? Source: World Economic Forum. When a problem arises, can employees reach the support they need? Business expansion plans should address this question. Start with a day in the life of an AI user. AI can reduce the time spent preparing documents and searching for information, but the surrounding workflow also matters. Consider an employee at an overseas office reviewing an AI-generated proposal with a colleague at headquarters. The draft may be ready quickly, but work stops if the employee cannot access internal reference materials or does not know how to request permission. If the approver is unavailable during local working hours, the review may be delayed until the next day. As document preparation becomes faster, delays in access and approval become more visible. Review these operational dependencies before adding more licences.

Who approves access permissions? When does information about transfers, new hires, and departures reach the IT team? When users need help, does the support channel connect them with someone who can respond? The IT foundation for AI adoption includes these day-to-day operating processes as well as networks and devices. Results also depend on selecting suitable tasks and applying human judgment to the output. IT service providers should therefore help create an environment in which users can complete their work. Assess operational value alongside business plans. IT reports commonly measure uptime and incident volumes, but business teams also need to know whether new employees can start work on time, new offices open without IT delays, and recurring enquiries are declining. For example, having PCs and accounts ready for new employees reduces waiting time even when the number of incidents remains unchanged. Equipment uptime alone does not show this improvement. Advange provides device management, network, security, and cloud services to organizations operating in Japan, Southeast Asia, and China. When planning overseas expansion, involve the teams that will manage operations after the new location opens. Define which tasks will be performed, who will perform them, and the required local support hours. These discussions make the service scope more precise. Advange supports IT infrastructure at overseas locations in line with each customer's business plans and local workflows.
